MANILA – Erich Gonzales denied that she is in a relationship with a married man and that this is the reason why she doesn't want to introduce her non-showbiz boyfriend to the public.
Speaking on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Gonzales explained that they just want to protect their privacy since her boyfriend is not from showbiz.
“He’s very private kasi. Respeto ko 'yun sa kanya at sa pamilya niya dahil hindi naman sila sanay sa showbiz. Sobrang quiet lang talaga,” she said.
Gonzales said it is also not true that she is not proud of her boyfriend, who is 10 years her senior.
“Wala naman akong tinatago. Lumalabas naman kami and I’m very vocal na may boyfriend ako. Hindi ko siya ikinakahiya. I’m very proud of him. I’m very okay sa family niya. Gusto nila ako. Ako 'yung anak nilang babae kasi only son lang siya,” she said.
Gonzales said she actually feels blessed because her boyfriend is her “answered prayer.”
“Lagi kong sinasabi na kung yung ibang tao nagdadasal na sana matagpuan nila 'yung the one, ako ito na. Binigay na siya sa kain ng Diyos. I really feel na siya na po talaga,” she said.
Meanwhile, Gonzales waved off attempts to romantically link her with her "Two Wives" co-star Daniel Matsunaga.
“Lagi kong sinasabi na ayaw kong makipagrelasyon sa showbiz. I don’t think it’s for me. Hindi siya magwo-work para sa akin. Ayaw ko kasi ng magulong love life. Gusto ko love life lang. Kapag nasa showbiz ka, iba talaga. Gusto ko tahimik lang, walang komplikasyon,” she said.
Gonzales, however, maintained that she and Matsunaga are good friends.
