Nora Aunor's niece signs up with Star Records

MANILA, Philippines – Young singer Marion Aunor now has her hands full after winning second runner-up in the in the songwriting competition Himig Handog P-Pop Love Song for her composition “If You Ever Changed Your Mind.”

On Thursday, ABS-CBN announced that Aunor will soon be joining the world tour for the top-rating daytime series “Be Careful With My Heart.”

Aunor, who is now signed with Star Recording Inc., will also be working on her debut album, which is set to be released by the end of April.

“My album will include some songs that I composed and the other songs were composed by my mentor, Mr. Vehnee Saturno,” she said.

Aunor is the niece of veteran actress Nora Aunor.

In an earlier interview, the singer admitted it is not easy to follow in the footsteps of her aunt. However, she is hoping that her aunt will also like her songs even if they are different of different genre.
