MANILA – Following the announcement of his breakup with Gretchen Ho, Robi Domingo admitted that he still has his “fair share of sadness” and is still hurting up to this day.
Domingo, however, stressed that their split was something they mutually agreed on.
“So much has been going on. Ang dami niyang projects sa news department, sa Sports and Action. Ako I have this ('I Can Do That') and may mga nilalatag na projects. We are just so happy and blessed. Pero we have decided na wala talagang time to grow 'yung relationship namin,” he said.
Domingo said he also did not want to be unfair with Ho and to the job that he loves.
“Siguro unfair kung hindi ko pagbibigyan ang trabaho ko na kailangan kong mahalin pero mas magiging unfair kung hindi ko maibibigay 'yung time na deserve niya. Personally, mas bibigyan namin ng priority kung ano ang nangyayari sa buhay namin kasi ito 'yung hinintay namin,” he said.
Insisting that there was no third party involved, Domingo took the opportunity to clear Sandara Park’s name.
“I don’t know [why I am being linked to Sandara Park]. We are good friends and kung ano man ang naririnig niyo, it’s not true. Let’s give the respect that Sandara deserves kasi she has given honor sa atin kahit nasa ibang bansa siya so I think 'yun ang kailangan natin ibigay sa kanya,” he said.
Saying he remains friends with Ho, Domingo said: “Ibigay din natin ang respeto na kailangan natin ibigay kay Gretchen kasi she’s been one great person.”
Although he is hurting, Domingo said he must move forward and focus because he has a lot on his plate.
Domingo refused to disclose when he and Ho actually broke up.
