MANILA, Philippines – American singer-songwriter Donald "Don" McLean arrived here on Tuesday for a one-night concert, dubbed as "A Starry, Starry Night with Don McLean," at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday night.
"Great, we are loving it already. Everybody is terrific," McLean said of his impression of the Philippines.
Mclean arrived from Singapore via Philippine Airlines flight PR 502.
The 65-year-old McLean, a Grammy Hall of Famer and one of the most popular singers in the 70s, invited all his Filipino fans to watch his show and have a good time.
McLean is behind hit songs "If We Try," "Wonderful Baby," "Since I Don't Have You," "And I Love You So, " "American Pie" and "Vincent."
Reports said Aiza Seguerra will do the front act for McLean.
