MANILA -- Matteo Guidicelli could not wipe the smile off his face when he made his first-ever press appearance since he tied the knot with Sarah Geronimo last week.
On Wednesday, Sante Barley launched Guidicelli as its newest ambassador and during the gathering, he candidly brought up his much talked-about wedding last Thursday.
“I just got married. It’s our sixth day together. This is my first event kumbaga and these are the best days of my life. The best times. We are blessed,” he said.
Guidicelli said nothing much has changed in his life except that he now has “somebody beside me all the time so everything is better.”
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News after the event, Guidicelli shared how he and Geronimo are doing now that they are starting a new chapter together.
“Okay naman. It’s the blessing of my life, of our lives. We are very happy. We are very thankful to the public, those in social media, for all the good wishes and all the congratulatory notes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It means a lot,” he said.
When asked if they are still planning to have a grand church wedding, Guidicelli said: “Of course. One day, when everything settles down. Secret na [kung kalian].”
Guidicelli was also asked if they have already had their honeymoon.
“Busy pa sa work,” he said, bursting into laughter.
Despite the controversy surrounding their wedding, Guidicelli assured everyone that he and his wife are doing just fine.
“To the people out there giving good vibes, we are all good. This is the happiest we’ve ever been. Thank you. We love you,” he said.
Guidicelli, however, just gave out a hearty laugh when prodded if he and Geronimo are now living in the same house.
To end the interview, a beaming Guidicelli proudly showed off his wedding ring.
