MANILA -- Arci Munoz finally cleared the air amid rumors linking her to Incubus vocalist Brandon Boyd after she was spotted at the VIP area during the American band’s concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, Munoz said she is close friends with the band’s bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Kilmore, which was why her group was able to get the VIP passes.
“Sobrang saya kasi we are really close friends with the bassist kay Ben and kay Chris, 'yung DJ ng Incubus. So may VIP area kami na sarili lang namin na nasa stage mismo,” she said.
In fact, Munoz brought the band to another concert before they left the Philippines for the next leg of their tour.
“Sabi ko, ilalabas ko sila. Dadalahin ko sila sa concert ni Nelly sa Cove. So magkatabi kami ng cabana ni Nelly. Doon kami puma-party kay Nelly. Sobra silang nag-enjoy kasi two days lang sila dito. After the concert, lumipad na sila to Japan,” she said.
Addressing the article, which seems to suggest that there is something between her and Boyd, Munoz said: “Nakakatawa kasi may nag-write up sa amin ni Brandon Boyd. Tinag ko siya kanina tapos nag-reply. Sabi niya, ‘So what is the love sign?’ Sabi ko ‘I don’t know.’ Nahiya ako, I told him just don’t mind it.”
Munoz is currently in a relationship with her boyfriend, Anthony Ng.
Meanwhile, Munoz shared that she is currently busy working on a new series with Piolo Pascual.
“It’s kinda different for me because every time I do a soap, it’s always dramatic. This time around, it’s rom-com. Parang mga movies po na nagawa ko but ngayon, soap,” she said.
Is there something that she discovered about Pascual that she didn’t know of before working with him?
“I’ve been hanging around with Papa P. He’s one of my closest friends in showbiz. Sabi ko nga, I’m one of the boys. So it’s Echo (Rosales), Papa P, mga lalaki talaga. What’s up bros? Si Papa P, everybody loves him. Parang alam ko na [lahat eh]. Ganun siya ever since,” she said.
Munoz provided no other details about their upcoming project.
