ROME, Italy – Filipino K-pop fans in Rome were thrilled to see one of the hottest idols from the Korean boy group EXO.
EXO’s Suho, Kim Junmyeon in real life, arrived at the Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport last Monday, Feb. 18. He attended an exclusive star-studded event of an Italian luxury brand.
Many of EXO's fans showed up at the airport to catch a glimpse of the Korean star. Among them was 17-year old Kylene Adem.
“He was so welcoming sa mga fans. He even signed autographs and accepted the gifts given by the fans,” said Adem.
Adem also noted that Suho was likewise happy to see EXO-Ls, the fandom’s collective name.
“He was nice kagaya nang ine-expect ko kahit he had more than 11-hour flight but he still managed to give fan service and looked very happy too,” she said.
Meanwhile, 16-year old K-pop fan Angela Singson got lucky after meeting the 27-year old Male Rookie Daesang awardee in a shoe store in the city and had a selfie with him.
“Sabi ko parang familiar 'yung mukha niya kaya ‘di ko tinanggal 'yung paningin ko. Tapos nung lumingon na-confirm na siya nga,” she said.
Suho, considered as one of the most stylish K-pop idols, is still in Rome and fans hope to see him at the Milan Fashion Week happening from Feb. 19-25.
EXO is composed of 9 members and one of the biggest K-pop groups today. Their repackaged album, "Love Shot," was recently awarded Gaon Chart's official platinum certification after selling more than 250,000 copies. Meanwhile, the 5th studio album “Don't Mess Up My Tempo,” was certified million in album sales by Gaon last month.
