MANILA — Fresh off the blockbuster opening week of “Alone/Together,” director Antoinette Jadaone and film outfit Black Sheep are collaborating anew on another project, this time with a relative unknown as one of its stars.

Jadaone on Wednesday announced a casting call for what appears to be a major part in the project dubbed “Fan Girl,” which is written and to be directed by her.

The search is open to women aged 18 to 22 who have not yet appeared in a major or supporting role in any movie, TV show, or TV commercial. Additional descriptions listed are “shy but passionate,” “innocent but curious,” and “simple pero may dating.”

A separate announcement from Black Sheep teased that “it’s a (fan)girl-meets-world situation,” but did not give further details about the story.

The film is co-produced by Project 8 corner San Joaquin Projects and Epicmedia.

The unveiling of “Fan Girl” came as Jadaone’s “Alone/Together” continued to generate buzz on social media and draw moviegoers after a successful opening week.
