MANILA — Bela Padilla and her Korean leading man, Kim Gun Woo, have started work on the romance film “Ultimate Oppa,” with behind-the-scenes photos showing them in South Korea.
In the snaps released Thursday by Viva Artists Agency, which manages Padilla, the actress is seen with Kim in different locations in his home country, including snowy outdoors.
A co-production between the Philippines (Viva Films, Reality Entertainment) and South Korea (Creative Leaders Group Eight), “Ultimate Oppa” follows the love story of a Filipino fan of Hallyu and a Korean talent manager.
“Ultimate Oppa” is one of 34 film productions from Viva Films slated for release this year, totaling some P1 billion in budget.
Of those 34, Padilla is starring or has starred in four films. She appeared in February’s “On Vodka, Beers and Regrets” and is also set to star in “Spellbound” (a local adaptation of the South Korean title) and “The Wedding Breaker,” on top of “Ultimate Oppa.”
