She may have lost in the grand finals of "Tawag ng Tanghalan" last year, but that doesn't mean that Rachel Gabreza has stopped singing altogether.

She dusted off the setback and joined the Stars of the Albion Grand Prix 2018 competition in London held Monday night.

She won the grand prize in the professional category, beating out 30 other contenders from countries such as the US and Russia.

She sang "Go the Distance," a song she covered during her "Tawag ng Tanghalan" stint, and Jennifer Hudson's "I Am Changing" to take home the title, according to a report

Gabreza first rose to fame as part of the "It's Showtime" singing contest. Prior to that, she worked as a sales lady in Makati. She said she joined the competition for her brother with cancer.

She lost to Noven Belleza in the grand finals.

Gabreza is now a member of the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-Aawit.

The Stars of the Albion Grand Prix is an annual music competition organized by Musica Nova, the UK's International Academy of Music, and the World Association of Performing Arts.

It's part of a festival event that brings together "extraordinary, talented musicians and dancers from across the world."
