Derek shares family's 'little paradise'

MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Derek Ramsay showed off his family house in Talisay, Batangas on Sunday in ABS-CBN's magazine show "Rated K," hosted by Korina Sanchez.

Ramsay gave a tour of the family's house, which they call  "Le Petit Paradis" or Little Paradise.

 The five-storey house was conceptualized by Ramsay's mother, Medy.

"It's not something planned. Spontaneous ang mommy ko. Kapag may naisip ang mommy ko, okay, go ahead. Kapag pumunta kami sa Europe, kapag may nakita siya, boom, ililipat niya 'yung idea na 'yon sa bahay namin," Ramsay said.

Aside from its beautiful garden, it also has artificial waterfalls and a tree house.

It also has a view of Taal Volcano.

"Ang tagal ng project ng bahay niya. Never natatapos dahil sobrang dami niyang ideas na dagdag dagdag," Ramsay said of his mom.

Ramsay's favorite part of the house is the infinity pool with a sunken bar.

Since they want to have everything in their house, they also constructed their own, spa, sauna and scrub rooms. They even have dental and surgery rooms.

"Kapag nandoon ka, pwede kang magpa-facial, pwede kang magpa-cleaning. It's awesome, I love it," he said.

The actor said that for him, the house is like a dream come true.

Ramsay said he is his very fortunate to have parents who give him almost everything. "Perfect family, perfect house, it's like a dream," he said.

"Ang masasabi ko lang sobrang blessed ako. I thank the Lord for giving me the parents that I have. They give me everything that they could afford that time, the best things in life," Ramsay added.
