MANILA — Even Anne Curtis, one of local showbiz’s biggest stars, was “speechless” upon meeting her idols — the members of the all-girl supergroup Blackpink.
On Instagram on Friday, Curtis referred to the personal encounter with the K-pop group as the “happiest early birthday gift.”
A remembrance of the moment was a photo, which sees Curtis all-smiles in the middle of Rosé, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa.
Curtis, who turns 34 on February 17, was among the “Blinks” who trooped to the February 2 sold-out concert of Blackpink in Manila — their first in the Philippines.
“I wanted to say so much but ended up being so speechless the moment I shook your hands,” Curtis captioned the photo, tagging the four members of Blackpink.
“You guys were amazing and made so many Filipinos extremely happy!” she added, as she thanked the organizers and Blackpink’s management YG Entertainment for allowing the photo opportunity.
Curtis has made no secret of her “obsession” with all things South Korean pop culture. Aside from its music scene, Curtis is also a vocal fan of K-drama and its stars.
She even launched a K-beauty series under her own makeup line, had a prenuptial shoot in South Korea in 2017, and has chronicled her “foodie” experience discovering dishes from the country.
