MANILA -- Balikbayan crooner Timmy Pavino won the hearts of "The Voice of the Philippines" viewers with his heartfelt performance of a One Direction song, which he dedicated to his mother.
Pavino sang "Story of My Life" on Sunday's live performance and elimination night.
"Great stuff, man. Sa umpisa nga, I felt you were getting a little bit too emotional. I thought, maybe from the whole thing. It was a bit shaky from the get-go, but once it started to roll, started to pick up, you just sort of soared with the song. So, great job, good luck to your coach," Bamboo told Pavino.
"You know what, all of them, I don't know what to say. I really have no idea what to say, wala akong masabi kasi ang gagaling ninyong lahat. This probably is my favorite performance of yours, because I think it was the most emotionally connected. Talagang nakikita ko na 'yung mga alaala mo with your mother, and that car ride that you were telling me about, talagang ramdam na ramdam ko. At kahit na malayong-malayo pa ako sa'yo right now, you can make me feel that," his coach Lea Salonga added.
Pavino got 50.08% of viewers' votes to move on to the semifinals with Leah Patricio as part of Team Lea.
