G-Dragon of Korean boy group Big Bang will start with his mandatory military service this month.

According to Korea Herald, Big Bang's agency YG Entertainment announced that G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, has recently received his draft notice and has decided to enlist in the military on February 27.

The agency added that it will not hold an event on the day of Kwon's entry to the basic training camp.

Kwon is the second Big Bang member to enlist in the military. The first one was T.O.P. (Choi Seung-hyun), who started his military service last year.

Following his drug controversy, Choi is currently serving as a public service worker.

After Kwon, the next member up for enlistment is Taeyang (Dong Young-bae), who recently got married to actress Min Hyo-rin.

The fourth oldest member of the group, Kang Dae-sung, is also expected to start his military service within the year.
