MANILA - Korean pop star Sandara Park is back in the Philippines.
Park, who is dubbed by her Filipino fans as the "pambansang krungkrung," arrived in the country late Friday.
She is expected to make an appearance on the Saturday episode of the noontime program, "It's Showtime", as well as at Sunday's travel tour expo to be held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
"Manila!!! I'm back!!! Salamat sa inyong lahat," Park wrote on her official Twitter account as the accompanying caption to what appears to be gifts given to her by her Filipino fans at the airport.
She followed the post up with an image of members of a local fan club gathered outside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Park rose to fame in 2004, when she finished runner-up in the ABS-CBN talent search "Star Circle Quest."
After a string of film and TV projects, Park, however, decided to leave for Korea to pursue a showbiz career there. In 2009, she took on the name "Dara" as a member of 2NE1.
