MANILA – Jericho Rosales admits he owes a big part of his success to his love team with Kristine Hermosa, which began when they were paired in the phenomenal Kapamilya series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo.”

In an interview with ANC’s “Headstart” on Thursday, Rosales said the soap changed his life to the point that there are now people from other parts of Asia who know him.

“I owe a lot to that love team and to ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo.’ It’s like the template na of mga love stories. It’s a classic na, even our movie na ‘Forevermore’ and ‘Ngayong Nandito Ka.’ But the best thing was ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo and ‘Sana’y Wala Ng Wakas’ reaching Malaysia, Africa and some parts of Asia,” he said.

Since 2002, when it ended its original two-year run, the series has been aired in over 20 foreign territories.

More than a decade after the soap, Rosales said his doors remain open to a possible onscreen reunion with Hermosa, who was also his former girlfriend.

"This is not to make [our fans] kilig lang or whatever but yes when the project is right and the timing is right, game. But si Kristine yata now is medyo focused on her family,” he said.

Hermosa is now married to actor Oyo Boy Sotto, while Rosales is engaged to television personality Kim Jones.

Asked if he is friends with Hermosa, Rosales said: “Yes. We are not super close or in touch but when we see each other, okay naman.”

Looking back at his career and personal life, Rosales believes this his past experiences and relationships made him who he is today.

“With my personal life, no regets. I felt happiness in all my past relationships. I’ve learned a lot about love. Ang dami kong natutunan sa relationships and now I’m getting married. All of the lessons that I’ve learned, ibubuhos ko lahat kay Kim, sa relationship naming dalawa,” he said.
