MANILA - Actor-singer Ogie Alcasid is willing to endorse Senator Grace Poe in the 2016 elections.
"Wala (pang nanliligaw para i-endorse ko) pero gusto ko si Grace Poe," Alcasid said at the press conference for his upcoming concert "MuSIKATin."
"Lagi ko namang sinasabi sa kanya. Gusto ko din si Congressman Leni Robredo," added Alcasid, who is also the president of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mangaawit (OPM).
Asked if he wants Poe to run for vice president or president, Alcasid replied: "Kahit saan. I know she is young and I know that she feels that she's inexperienced. I know she feels that there are still a lot of things to do but sometimes ay advantage 'yung youth."
"At the Senate, nakikita niyo naman 'yung pagiging aggressive niya, the energy that she brings in the Senate. Kakaiba. Dati nakakasama ko na siya -- sa MTRCB pa lang siya noon and I was with OPM -- medyo nakakatrabaho ko na siya ng kaunti at nakikita ko na mayroon talagang (kakahayan) si Senator Grace," he said.
Poe, the daughter of the late actor Fernando Poe Jr. has been receiving positive comments for her handling of Senate hearing on the Mamasampano clash.
