MANILA, Philippines - Showbiz talk show host Jobert Sucaldito of "The Buzz" and comic radio anchor Ahwel Paz are all set for their new showbiz-oriented weekday afternoon program dubbed "Mismo" on DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 and DZMM Teleradyo.

"Mismo", which will begin airing on Monday, February 14, at 3 p.m., is expected to showcase the hosts' wit, exclusive showbiz scoops, and no-holds-barred commentaries.

“With the addition of Ahwel, the show will have more fun and more segments. I’m sure the commentaries will be more serious though we will keep the lighter side of showbizness in our program,” said Sucaldito, who has been on radio for the past 9 years and on TV for 16 years.

Sucaldito said his and Ahwel's "debate" on the hottest issues is something to look forward to each day. “We will have an exchange of comments on showbiz items but there’s definitely no competition between us,” Sucaldito said, when asked if they will be the "Dos Por Dos" version of showbiz radio.

Paz, who started out in DZMM in 2008 as a resident judge in "L.O.L." (Laugh Out Loud), a search for the best stand-up comic, said he is happy to be paired with Sucaldito.

“It’s a great blessing to be a part of the DZMM family, to have the chance to share my talents and entertain people,” said Paz, who also contributed to the success of the DZMM World Caravan campaign. “Excited po ako maka-tandem si Kuya Jobert na nasa pedestal na sa industriya ng showbiz. Challenge din sa amin ang pagbe-blend ng showbiz at national news sa programa.”

The two hosts revealed they will not only feature the latest in showbiz news and help upcoming artists in their careers, but also make the show a source of truth in showbiz.

The hour-long show "Mismo" is expected to heat up DZMM's afternoon entertainment block, which starts at 12:30 p.m. with "MMK sa DZMM", a show featuring inspiring Filipinos and narrated by ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio. This will be followed by "Dr. Love" at 1 p.m., a standards sound trip with Jun Banaag, and ends with "Mismo" at 3 p.m.
