MANILA — Nadine Lustre and Julia Montes lead the all-star cast of the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye “Burado,” producer Dreamscape Entertainment announced on Monday.
The two ladies will be joined by Zanjoe Marudo and Paulo Avelino, as well as Thai actor Denkhun Ngamnet, as seen in Instagram updates from Dreamscape head Deo Endrinal.
Other cast members include Carmi Martin, Angel Aquino, Joko Diaz, Ina Raymundo, Lotlot de Leon, Matet de Leon, Raymond Bagatsing, Mccoy de Leon, Javi Benitez, and Kokoy de Santos.
Attached to direct are Emmanuel Palo (“The General’s Daughter”) and Darnel Villaflor (“Kadenang Ginto”).
“Burado” will span several international locations, including the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, and India, according to Endrinal. The series is slated for a primetime release, the ABS-CBN executive added.
Hinting at romantic pairings, Endrinal shared separate photos of Lustre with Ngamnet (both are Asian Academy Creative Awards winners), and Montes with Avelino and Marudo.
“Burado” marks a number of firsts for Lustre: It’s her first teleserye since she announced being “self-managed” early this year,” and her first teleserye without her former boyfriend James Reid, among others.
“Burado” for Montes, meanwhile, is a second major project as she return to showbiz after a year-long hiatus. She also leads the cast of another Dreamscape series, “24/7,” due to premiere on February 23.
