Arci Muñoz’s Korean language lessons paid off Monday (Manila time) when she got a chance to meet the lead star and director of the South Korean film “Parasite,” which clinched top prizes at the 92nd Academy Awards or Oscars.
The Kapamilya actress crossed paths with Bong Joon-ho and Song Kang-ho, director and actor of “Parasite” respectively, when she attended an Oscars party in Los Angeles.
Sharing her snaps with them on Instagram, Muñoz wrote, unedited: “greeted mr. Kang ho Song! Had a convo with him in korean!! Oh was soo glad I took my korean class!! Told him how much I love their movie!! He quickly grabbed me by the hand and introduced me to ze man!! #bongjoonho And so the next photo happened! Congratulations to #parasitemovie @parasitemovie making history today at the #oscars #academyawards”
It was not immediately clear why Muñoz was at the event.
A day prior, she also attended a star-studded gathering in Beverly Hills: the Hollywood for the Global Ocean Gala, hosted by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
She similarly shared a photo with an international actress whom she confessed has long been her “girl crush” — Michelle Rodriguez of the “Fast & Furious” fame.
