Long-time fans of Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban are excited to see the ex-couple together again—at least onscreen.
And their wish might just be granted as Aquino confirmed on Thursday that there are indeed talks about a possible movie co-starring him and Panganiban.
“May mga script na pinapadala. Kapag tuloy na tuloy na, kami muna, tapos kayo na 'yung [next na] makakaalam,” the actor teased in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Aquino said he has been receiving various offers following the success of his just-released movie, “Meet Me In St. Gallen,” which also marks his comeback as a leading man.
“Kapag siguro na-confirm na, [tsaka na ako mag-si-share]. May mga script pa lang na napapadala,” he said.
Aside from reuniting with Panganiban onscreen, Aquino was asked on the possibility of rekindle their past romance.
He answered: “Wala, wala. Hanggang ngayon friends pa rin kami. Never naman kasi nagbago ['yung relationship namin]. Special siya sa akin. Feeling ko ganun din ako sa kanya. Very close kami.”
Aquino, however, played coy when prodded if he would ask Panganiban to be his Valentine date. “Hindi ko alam…. Hindi ko pa nga niyayaya, e. Hindi ko alam,” he said.
The former "G-mik" co-stars dated for six years when they were teens. In recent talk-show appearances, both confirmed that they remained friends following their breakup.
They are being romantically linked anew after Panganiban said she would be open to go on "dates" with Aquino again.
Aquino further fueled speculation when he similarly admitted leaving doors open to getting back together with the actress. He, however, added that another romantic relationship might be too soon for him as he had just broken up with his most recent girlfriend.
