MANILA – Ai-Ai delas Alas was an image of a happy wife when she attended a movie screening on Thursday with her husband, Gerald Sibayan.
The screening was for the Carlo Aquino-starrer, "Meet Me in St. Gallen," where he is paired with Bela Padilla. Aquino was delas Alas' onscreen son in the popular "Tanging Ina" trilogy.
Speaking with ABS-CBN News and other reporters, delas Alas said she is very much content with her marriage to Sibayan, who was her partner of three years before they tied the knot in December 2017.
“Masaya ako kasi mabait ang asawa ko. God’s gift talaga,” the 53-year-old actress said, grinning.
The comedienne also shared that there weren't many adjustments for the two of them as newlyweds.
“Wala masyado. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na tama ang live-in, pero matagal din kasi kaming live-in bago kami kinasal so kaunting adjustment lang,” she said.
Asked if they are planning to have a baby soon, she said: “Oo, meron na. Hintayin na lang natin. I-a-announce ko naman kapag buntis na ako.”
Delas Alas first revealed her relationship with Sibayan, who is 30 years younger than her, back in September 2014.
Prior to their relationship, delas Alas had a short-lived marriage with businessman Jed Salang.
Delas Alas has two children with former partner Miguel Vera -- Nicolo and Sofia. She also has a son, Sancho, from a relationship before Vera.
