It seems like people can’t still get enough of Bebe Gandanghari.
Weeks after former matinee idol Rustom Padilla caused a stir in show business after changing his name to Bebe Gandanghari, supposedly to emphasize that he is now a woman, people are still talking about him.
Some expressed happiness while some still preferred to see the old Padilla.
Stand-up comedian Vice Ganda was among those who were not enthusiastic over his new image.
Ang creepy, sino bang pumatay kay Rustom?” he said, referring to Gandanghari’s statement declaring that Padilla is dead.
Vice Ganda said Gandanghari has become the butt of a joke even among gays.
“nag-modeling school sa New York yata...parang bakit magmomodela? Ngayon siya magmomodela nasa 40s? Di ba parang medyo may edad na!” Vice Ganda said.
He added that he is also not a fan of Gandanghari when it comes to the latter’s choice of clothes.
Mas maganda siguro kung poging hari o gandang reyna,” he said.
Beauty expert Ricky Reyes is also not happy with Gandanghari’s transformation.
He also advised Bebe against wearing too much make-up.
"Don't put so much make-up," Reyes said.
In his interviews, Gandanghari said he would respect other people’s opinion following his decision to change his image but he said he hoped the public would also accept the new him.
