MANILA - Kiray, a former child star-turned-comedienne, considers herself a "late bloomer" when it comes to having a romantic relationship.
But it has finally happened for the 21-year-old Kapamilya actress, who revealed to ABS-CBN entertainment news site Push that she finally has a boyfriend.
Kiray shared the new development in her personal life on the sidelines of a press conference Wednesday for "My Fairy Tale Love Story," an upcoming fantasy romance movie where she is a cast member.
"It’s about time. I’m too old already. Actually, late bloomer pa nga yon, e," Kiray said, explaining she wanted first to prioritize her family, for whom she has finally built a house with her earnings.
Kiray declined to name her businessman boyfriend, but shared that their personalities match as they're both Leo, they regularly go on movie and dinner dates, and that he prefers to stay out of the limelight.
"Wala naman siyang magagawa, e. Wala naman siyang choice," Kiray said, when asked whether her boyfriend has no qualms with her being a celebrity.
Turning serious, she added: "Pero it’s hard.
Kiray was also candid on the topic of intimacy. "Sex? Hindi pa, sobrang takot ako," she said, pointing out she is not yet ready for the responsibility of having a child.
Kiray was earlier linked romantically with model Kirst Viray, but the pair's closeness was later clarified to be only friendship.
