MANILA, Philippines – Entertainment journalist Ogie Diaz apologized to the mother of international singing sensation Charice for his tweets concerning her daughter.

On “E-Live” on Saturday, Diaz acknowledged that he cannot do anything if Raquel Pempengco could not accept his apology because he understands where she is coming from.

He, however, emphasized that he has already done his part by saying sorry if people got offended with his opinions that he posted on Twitter last January 25.

Diaz said he recognizes the fact that he cannot please everybody. He asked all the fans of Charice, though, to spare his own mother from criticisms since the latter has nothing to do with his personal opinions on Twitter.

According to Diaz, what matters now is that he has already expressed his sincere apology to Charice, her mom and her fans.

In an earlier interview, Diaz acknowledged that his public apology is not enough. He said he will personally apologize to Charice once they see each other.

Meanwhile, in her official Twitter account, Charice thanked all her supporters who backed her despite the negative things that were said about her.

:) God bless you all and love you,” she posted.
