MANILA - Film and TV Director Maryo J Delos Reyes has passed away, his manager June Rufino confirmed Saturday evening.
Rufino said Delos Reyes died around 10 p.m. Saturday after suffering a heart attack while attending a party with a friend in Dipolog City.
“We have loved him in life, let us not forget him in this time of sorrow," Rufino said in a statement.
Details of his wake and funeral services will follow, according to Rufino.
Delos Reyes directed the films "Magnifico" starring Jiro Manio, "A Love Story" starring Aga Muhlach, Angelica Panganiban and Maricel Soriano and "Naglalayag" starring Nora Aunor, Aleck Bovick and Yul Servo.
His last film was "The Unmarried Wife," released in 2016, starring Panganiban.
