MANILA – Atom Araullo's one-on-one interview with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was one of the most anticipated things their followers have been waiting to see.
The fan- "Piatom love team" began when Wurtzbach granted an interview on "Umagang Kay Ganda" after she won the international pageant. The two were teased by Araullo's co-hosts upon learning that Wurtzbach was not seeing anyone.
During Wurtzbach's Kapamilya homecoming on Wednesday, Araullo was among those who sat down with her for a one-on-one exclusive interview.
Among the things the two talked about was the current state of heart of the 26-year-old beauty queen and how she falls in love.
“Very passionate [ako ma-in love] so delikado. Kailangang mag-prioritize talaga kasi I have the tendency talaga na kapag na-in love ako, naka-focus ako doon sa person. Pero hindi puwede,” she said.
Asked if she's ever been heartbroken, she said: “Oo. Heartbroken nga ako ngayon eh. Hindi naman, joke lang (laughs).”
Wurtzbach also shared to Araullo the worst thing anyone has said about her on social media.
"Siguro the worst thing that anybody said about me was nung ina-underestimate nila yung pagtatrabaho ko dito dati sa ABS-CBN nu'ng bata pa ako,” she said.
“Para sa akin, personal na 'yun kasi it was what I was doing to help out with the family. If anything is ever said about me with about how I work with ABS, kung ano man ang sabihin nila, para sa akin, teka muna, iyon ang tumutulong sa family ko so bakit niyo ako jina-judge sa ganyan? Para sa akin 'yun ang pinamasakit,” she added.
Despite her victory as the third Filipina Miss Universe, Wurtzbach shared the one thing that she would like to change in her life if given the opportunity.
“Siguro na mas nakapag-usap kami ng biological father ko. Although mayroon naman akong way to contact him, parang nahirapan ako kasi may family na rin siya. He passed away two years ago and then I won now. I feel like sana nakita niya ito,” she said as her eyes welled up.
Nonetheless, Wurtzbach believes things happen for a reason.
“Wala naman akong pagsisisi. But if I could change anything, sana 'yung humaba pa ang buhay niya para nakita niya na nangyari sa akin ito kasi daddy’s girl talaga ako noon,” she said.
