"Actually, my intention is to go back to school. and I would like to continue my studies and become a lawyer," she told ABS-CBN.
The 1979 Miss International said becoming a lawyer was her childhood dream, and now, she has the opportunity to realize it.
"Since I was a kid, I really want to be a lawyer but I don't have the means. But this time, I have the time, and my husband is supporting me," she explained.

"I'd like to give justice to those who cannot afford to defend themselves. I will be more of 'for the people, masses,' especially for children who are being maltreated," she said.
Marquez, sister of actor-comedian Joey Marquez, also hopes to finish her studies before she reaches her 50th birthday.
"I'm just going to start. I think it will take five years from now. I'm dreaming that before I reach the age of 50, I'm already finished," she siad.
