MANILA — The new teen edition of “The Voice of the Philippines” is set to air in two weeks.
The four original coaches of the talent show are expected to reunite once again beginning February 8, as seen in a teaser which aired in between “ASAP” segments on Sunday.
Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, Bamboo, and returning coach apl.de.ap demonstrate their “power” in amplifying the voice of the young singers.
Based on the clip, the competition will introduce a new rule which involves having to use a “block.” It remains to be seen how this feature plays out in the competition.
The upcoming season will be hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga.
The 2020 run of “The Voice Teens” will only be the second time that edition will be held, following the 2017 victory of Team Sarah bet Jona Marie Soquite.
There have been two regular adult editions, with Mintoy Yonting and Jason Dy being named “The Voice” in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
“The Voice Kids,” including the most recent 2019 edition where Team Sarah’s Vanjoss Bayaban won, has had four editions since 2014.
