MANILA—After a short break from "It's Showtime," Anne Curtis returned Friday to the noontime program — and to a confusing new development involving co-host and "sis" Vice Ganda.
In recent weeks, Vice Ganda has been doing impromptu interactions with a female dancer, Jaki Gonzaga, who regularly brings a fishbowl of written questions to contestants in the "Miss Q&A" segment.
Curtis had been a witness to this, but on her return Friday she appeared puzzled by the escalating "sweetness" between Vice Ganda and Gonzaga.
As the comedian acted "masculine" toward Gonzaga and at one point leaned in for a pretend kiss, a laughing Curtis could be heard exclamining, "Ano ba!", "Oh my gosh!", "Yikes!", "Hindi ko kaya!"
The pairing of Vice Ganda and Gonzaga has spawned a following of its own, dubbed by their fans as #ViceJack. The superstar's earlier pairing with fellow "It's Showtime" host Karylle has a loyal, vocal fanbase of its own, similary called #ViceRylle.
