MANILA – Actress Sandy Andolong apologized to Toni Gonzaga and her boyfriend, director Paul Soriano, for causing confusion online when she referred to the TV host as a "loyal fiancee" in a birthday greeting posted on Instagram.
While Gonzaga and Soriano have been together for seven years now, their supporters have been waiting for them to become engaged, especially since a lot of celebrity couples had tied the knot in the past year.
In a separate post in the image-sharing site, Andolong said she just used the term “fiancee” in referring to Gonzaga “based it on the fact that you both have been in a very stable and God-centered relationship for years.”
Andolong said she thought the term “fiancée” sounded more appropriate and romantic.
“I can see how you both bring out the best in each other. I never realized it would cause so much commotion and reaction from so many people. Again, my deepest apology to Tin, Paul and their families for the trouble,” she said.
Andolong then thanked her “Home Sweetie Home” co-star for taking what she has done so well and “for being very nice and understanding."
