MANILA -- Daryl Ong and Suy Galvez remain part of Team Apl and will move on to the next round of "The Voice of the Philippines."
The two contestants, along with Ferns Tosco, were part of the first batch of contestants to perform in the first live show this season on Saturday.
Ong was saved from elimination after getting 50.43% of viewers votes.
Their coach apl.de.ap. expressed his gratitude to both Galvez and Tosco, before giving his comments on the singers' performance.
"Suy, the way you perform, talagang todo-bigay, ang lakas ng emotions, the fighting spirit. I admire your fighting spirit. But sometimes, you know, namomroblema ka sa timing, pero aayusin natin 'yan," he told Galvez.
He also praised Tosco for her unique voice.
"Kahit anong kanta ibigay sa'yo, talagang natatatakan mo nang pagka-Ferns, at saka 'yung mga damdamin na inilalagay mo sa mga kanta talagang, so strong. But sometimes, nasosobrahan ka sa emotions kaya nagkukulang ka sa control," he said.
"Ang artist na pipiliin ko, 'yung talagang ready na sa next level. Ano mang mangyari, you will always be part of Team Apl. We'll always gonna be friends," the Black Eyed Peas member said before revealing his choice.
He eventualy chose Galvez to move on to the next round, cutting short Tosco's journey on the show.
