MANILA — ABS-CBN’s war drama “A Soldier’s Heart” debuted on Monday with a viewership that ranked it among the five most watched TV shows in the country.
The RCD Narratives production registered a nationwide rating of 19.8%, making it the No. 1 show in its time slot, according to data from Kantar Media.
Its competing program only garnered 11.7% on January 20.
The pilot ratings of “A Soldier’s Heart” catapulted it as the overall fifth top-rating program in the Philippines for the day.
It trailed “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” (29%), “Make It With You” (27.4%), “TV Patrol” (23.1%), and “24 Oras” (22.1%).
“A Soldier’s Heart,” which centers on a family whose members end up on opposing ends of an armed conflict, features an ensemble cast led by Gerald Anderson.
