MANILA - Polo Ravales portrays a man who is accused of killing his live-in partner in his first project under the Kapamilya network.
The 32-year-old actor will make his ABS-CBN debut on Saturday via the legal drama anthology "Ipaglaban Mo," under the direction of Frasco Mortiz.
In the episode titled "Sa Mata ng Bata," Dario's (Ravales) five-year-old daughter with his partner is called to court as a witness. With two suspects eyed in the murder, Dario's fate lies in the testimony of his child.
The project marks the first time Ravales will appear in a starring role on ABS-CBN, since revealing in October that he had been in talks with executives of the network.
Ravales, who has been identified with GMA-7 since 1996, said that while he still appeared in a number programs produced by the network last year, his contract had already expired in 2013.
"Ipinagmamalaki ko lahat ng nagawa kong mga shows with GMA for the past 19 years," he said in October. "Hindi naman siguro masama kung naisin kong magtrabaho naman sa ibang network at makatrabaho naman ang mga artista nila roon."
Leading up to his "Ipaglaban Mo" debut, neither Ravales nor ABS-CBN has confirmed whether the actor has inked a deal for a transfer.
