MANILA -- After her breakthrough performance in the phenomenal daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart," young actress Janella Salvador is ready for her solo closeup.
The daughter of singers Jenine Desiderio and Juan Miguel Salvador bagged the lead role in the upcoming series "Oh My G!" which starts airing on January 19 before "It's Showtime."
In the new show, Salvador plays a teenager who struggles after both her parents died. The teleserye is said to be inspired by teachings of St. Teresa of Avila.
"It's a show about God and it's really a big role. This show is about St. Teresa of Avila and I'm very happy na ako ang pinili nila," Salvador said at a press conference on Tuesday.
"It's about humility and love for neighbor. 'Yun ang tinuturo sa show. Parang God will appear to me in different forms. I'm very happy," she added.
Directed by Roni Velasco, "Oh My G!" also reunites Salvador with her "Be Careful With My Heart" love team partner Marlo Mortel.
Also joining the cast are Sunshine Cruz, Manolo Pedrosa, Dominic Ochoa, John Arcilla, Edgar Allan Guzman and Janice de Belen.
