MANILA -- The kiddie version of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" has proven to be a runaway ratings winner with just its first two episodes.
The show's debut on Saturday recorded a national TV rating of 31.4%, beating its rival program “Magpakailanman,” which got 18.8%.
More viewers tuned in on Sunday, which garnered 33.2% in national TV ratings -- or a solid 17-percentage point lead over the 16.2% rating of rival program "Tsuperhero."
Apart from TV ratings, the show also sparked conversations on social media. Awra Briguela's impersonation of Mommy D trended on social media, with thousands of netizens cheering for the "Ang Probinsyano" child star.
With his performance, Briguela was named the first weekly winner, winning P50,000 in prize money and P50,000 worth of toys for his chosen charity, Harvesters' Foundation, Inc.
AC Bonifacio as Britney Spears came in second with 19 points, followed by Elha Nympha as Beyonce (18 points), and Sam Shoaf as Bruno Mars (17 points).
Alonzo Muhlach (Harry Styles of One Direction), Justin Alva (Michael Jackson), Lyca Gairanod (Katy Perry), and Xia Vigor (Selena Gomez) all received 12 points.
This weekend, Briguela was tasked to impersonate Daniel Padilla, Bonifacio as Sandara Park, Nympha as Sharon Cuneta, Shoaf as Alicia Keys, Muhlach as Rico J. Puno, Alva as Adam Levine, Gairanod as Lady Gaga, and Vigor as Taylor Swift.
