MANILA - ABS-CBN swept the list of the most watched TV programs in the Philippines in 2014, according to Kantar Media, making the Kapamilya network the far-and-away leader in nationwide ratings last year.
Leading the top 20 programs with the highest average rating during its 2014 run was "The Voice Kids" with 34.5%. The singing competition for kids and teens, which crowned 10-year-old Lyca Gairanod as winner, ran for two months until July.
Notably, all shows in the top 20 either aired in a primetime slot (between 6 p.m. to 12 midnight on weekdays) or evenings of Saturday and Sunday.
The rest of the top-five shows were primetime series -- "Honesto" (31.7%), "Dyesebel" (30.1%), "Ikaw Lamang" (28.4%) and "Got to Believe" (28.3%).
