MANILA—There's no such thing as a "network war" when it comes to spreading good vibes, at least for fans of Maine Mendoza, who uncharacteristically shared a clip from a show aired by ABS-CBN.
On Twitter Friday, the 22-year-old actress had fans speculating when she linked to a minute-long clip from the weekend Kapamilya game show "I Can See Your Voice", with the accompanying tweet: "Para sa mga nalulungkot... (For those who are sad...)"
The clip shows a funny scene, which previously went viral, wherein mainstay Bayani Agbayani appears to turn emotional about a childhood memory, only to deliver a punch line that has the audience laughing.
Replying to Mendoza's tweet, her fans were quick to note that the video is from an ABS-CBN program, with some praising the TV host for looking beyond the so-called "network war" in bringing joy to her followers.
One quipped Mendoza has supposedly always been an ABS-CBN fan, while others said there is nothing wrong with her sharing a clip from her home network's rival, as it's in the spirit of good fun.
A number, meanwhile, even went as far as speculating Mendoza was alluding to an intention to switch networks, or urged her to do the same.
