MANILA - Not having pork barrel will not stop comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas from realizing her dream of serving the Filipino people.
In an interview on ABS-CBN's "Tapatan Ni Tunying," the 49-year-old shared her plans to run for a seat in Congress after her time in showbusiness ends.
"Huwag na muna habang busy pa ako sa showbiz. Hindi ko naman puwedeng pagserbisyuhan ang bayan ko nang hindi buo ang puso ko," she said.
The actress recently starred in two films this year and guest-starred in various ABS-CBN television shows, including a stint as a judge in the 4th season of the reality TV show, "Pilipinas Got Talent."
"Talagang half-half pa ngayon. Pero pag dumating tayo sa eighty-percent service, at twenty-percent show business, game na!" she added.
The comedienne then talked about her recent failed marriage with businessman Jed Salang, calling it more painful than her first marriage.
"Ang sakit kasi sandali lang. Alam mo 'yung dream mo, naputol kasi hindi nagwork," she said.
The episode also featured Eugene Domingo, who also talked about her unlucky love life, despite the success of her career.
"After all the achievements, the success sa career mo, you still need love. And I hope it's not too late for me," the 42-year-old said.
“Tapatan ni Tunying” airs every Thursday at 4:45 p.m. on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.
