MANILA (UPDATE) - The National Grid Corp of the Philippines has lifted the yellow alert it earlier declared over the Luzon grid.&nbsp; The NGCP announced at 6 p.m. the early lifting of the yellow alert due to lower forecasted demand.It said the available capacity in the Luzon grid is at 10,926 megawatts while peak demand is estimated at 8,983MW.&nbsp;The power firm earlier said a yellow alert was in effect from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday and&nbsp;11 p.m. to 12 midnight.A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid&rsquo;s contingency requirement.&nbsp;The NGCP meanwhile reported that the Gumaca-Atimonan 69kV transmission line, which covers the Quezon Electric Cooperative Inc., has been energized.&nbsp;However, &nbsp;the Pitogo-Mulanay 69kV transmission line that also caters to Quezon Electric Cooperative Inc. remains unavailable.&nbsp;The NGCP said it has already mobilized its line crews and is currently conducting patrols to inspect and assess the impact of the tropical depression Aghon on its operations and facilities.&nbsp;<style type="text/css" id="isPasted">
