MANILA - Banks on Thursday advised clients to transact before New Year's Day on Monday, when most branches are closed for a public holiday.
Many branches will extended banking hours this week, with some even open on Saturday Dec. 30 and Sunday Dec. 31.
The country's largest lender, BDO Unibank, said all of its branches would also be closed on Jan. 1, but several branches would be open on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31.
BPI said some of its branches would extend weekday banking hours, while other branches would be open on Saturday.
Metrobank also advised clients that a few of its branches would be open on Dec. 30 and 31.
PSBank and Security Bank said all of their branches would be closed on January 1, but assured clients that ATMs would be online, along with mobile and internet channels.
