Cebu Pacific suspends "piso" seat sale amid system glitch troubleshoot

MANILA - Cebu Pacific Air said Monday it has suspended its Christmas "piso" seat sale to give way to troubleshooting after experiencing system downtime early Monday. 

As of 2:30 p.m., the airline is still experiencing intermittent system connection at the airport, Cebu Pacific said in an advisory.

"To give way for troubleshooting, we regret to inform patrons and passengers that we are suspending the on-going Piso/Seat Sale," Cebu Pacific said.

Although the booking platform is not related to airport process, the IT team needs to focus on operations and system restoration "at the soonest possible time," the airline said.

Cebu Pacific said it was using an alternate system for check-in and boarding but passengers were advised to "expect slower turnaround times."

The airline on Sunday announced a P1 seat sale from Dec. 24 to Dec. 25.
