MANILA -- Cebu Pacific and Cebgo on Sunday advised passengers, particularly those traveling to international destinations such as Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, to allot additional time to get to the airport for tight security screening this peak travel season.

The Philippines' largest airline urged passengers to arrive at the airport 3 hours before their departure time for international flights and 2 hours for domestic flights.

For online check-in, passengers can visit or download the official Cebu Pacific Mobile App on the App Store or Google Play to use mobile check-in.

For international flights, web and mobile check-in are available from 7 days up to 4 hours before departure, the airline said.

Those taking domestic flights can do web and mobile check-in up to 1 hour before departure, the airline said.

Passengers with no check-in baggage can go straight to their boarding gates, while those with check-in baggage can drop these off at the bag drop counter at least 30 minutes before the flight, the airline said.

The airline said passengers should be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, except for flights departing for Dubai (45 minutes).

Adult passengers traveling with infants are allowed an additional 1 small carry-on with baby food and necessities.

Assistive or medical items such as walking canes, foldable walkers and baby strollers, and items purchased inside the airport are on top of the hand-carry baggage allowance for each passenger.
