MANILA -- Cebu Pacific said Thursday it signed a purchase agreement with plane maker Airbus for 15 A320NEO jets in a transaction worth $2 billion (P101 billion).
The order includes up to 10 units of the world's longest range, single aisle aircraft, the A321XLR, the country's largest airline said in a statement.
The 15-aircraft order completes the commitment to order 31 aircraft last June. In October, Cebu Pacific signed a purchase deal for 16 wide body A330 NEO jets.
The new aircraft are scheduled for delivery between 2021 and 2024. At the end of the delivery period, Cebu Pacific said its fleet would be composed entirely of next-generation Airbus jets.
