LOOK: Globe opens Gen3 flagship stores in Philippines

MANILA – Globe Telecom unveiled on Tuesday its Generation 3 stores simultaneously in SM North EDSA in Manila and in Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro.

Globe’s Gen3 stores are designed by founder and chief executive of Eight Inc. Tim Kobe, who designed the flagship Apple Store in New York.

“The space is dynamic. It changes with new stories and experiences that support different events and moments. We have elements that move and reconfigure, the way entertainment venues support great concerts or shows,” said Kobe.

Kobe said functionality is highlighted in the Globe Gen3 stores, noting that retail is “one touch point where brands build relationships and sell products and services.”

“It is important today to have a place to demonstrate what you stand for. More than 50 percent of the reason why someone engages with a brand comes from word of mouth. Interestingly, 80 percent of word of mouth comes from direct experience. Designing the experience is critical to building brand advocates,” he said.

Globe sets the bar high for the first-ever digital lifestyle store in the Philippines

The Globe Gen3 stores feature various lifestyle zones that showcase the latest trends in product, people and business. The lifestyle zones will also highlight the stories of brand ambassadors every quarter.

Globe said the store will serve as a platform for the introduction of must-watch personalities in art, community and technology.

The GEN3 Store is designed to fit the passions and lifestyles of Filipinos

For the first quarter of 2015, Globe Gen3 will feature four DJs, namely, DJ Badkiss, Callum David, Mars Miranda, and Eric Capilli, for its music theme.

Our passion for our customers inspires us to end the year on a high note by bringing innovation a notch higher in our stores, one of our key customer touch points, allowing us to truly empower our customers' digital lifestyles,” said Globe president and chief executive Ernest Cu.

The Globe Gen3 store will also serve as a venue to introduce the latest products, devices, and services offered by Globe.

Globe is set to convert more of its existing stores into Gen3 stores in 2015.
