MANILA - The Pasig River Ferry was relaunched on Friday, with shuttle services that will transport passengers from docks to main roads, officials said.
The shuttles were added to attract commuters who have shunned the ferry due to the long walk to and from its stations, according to the Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (i-ACT).
Ferry passengers in Escolta can avail of shuttles to Divisoria while those in Guadalupe can ride shuttles to and from the Bonifacio Global City.
The shuttles, operated by a private company, will be free for three months.
The Pasig River Ferry system has 12 stations from Pinagbuhatan, Pasig to Plaza Mexico in Manila. A station in Marikina will also be opened, transport officials said. --- with reports from Raphael Bosano, ABS-CBN News.
