MANILA – Ford Philippines said its retail sales in November reached 1,924 units, 62 percent higher than sales posted in the same month last year.
Ford said strong demand continued for the Ranger, EcoSport and Everest, boosted the company’s year-to-date sales by 53 percent to 18,438 units compared to last year.
Sales of the Ford Ranger increased by 56 percent year-over-year to 746 units in November, while sales of the Ford EcoSport rose to 681 units.
The Everest SUV, meanwhile, contributed 244 units, helping year-to-date totals reach 2,980 units, up 17 percent over the same period last year while sales of the Ford Explorer reached 60 units, bringing year-to-date sales to 998 units.
“From the versatility of the Ranger pickup, to the proven performance of the EcoSportand the reliability of the Everest SUV, our global line-up of vehicles have been a dependable hit among Filipino customers,” said Ford Philippines managing director Kay Hart.
Ford recently launched the Explorer Sport and Escape, both equipped with Ford’s fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine.
Ford is offering the Escape for bookings and pre-orders, with customer delivery beginning in January 2015.
“The additions of the high-performance Explorer Sport and premium Escape to our showrooms help expand our unmatched SUV offering in the country,” said Hart.
Ford said it is on track to meet its target of expanding its nationwide dealership network to 36 locations by the end of the year.
The firm recently inaugurated its Alabang mega-dealership, the biggest dealership in the country and one of the largest Ford dealerships across the ASEAN region.
