List of open, closed banks (December 8, 2014)

MANILA, Philippines (4TH UPDATE) - Wondering if you should go to the bank today? Here are some bank advisories for December 8, 2014.

BDO Unibank

Due to typhoon "Ruby", BDO Unibank said most branches in greater Metro Manila will be closed today.

Only the following BDO branches are OPEN:

Makati - Corporate Center, SM Makati
Ortigas - SM Megamall B, Strata Ortigas
Manila - Juan Luna
Mandaluyong - Shaw Blvd - Stanford
San Juan - Greenhills Roosevelt, Greenhills Shopping Center
Pasig - Capitol Pasig
Quezon City - Heroes hill - Quezon Avenue, SM City North EDSA
Novaliches - SM City Fairview C
Caloocan City - Grace Park 8th Avenue
Taguig - BGC Picadilly Star
Pasay - SM Mall of Asia A
Las Pinas - SM Southmall A
Alabang - Alabang Madrigal
Paranaque - St James A. Santos
Rizal - Taytay - Manila East
Laguna - SM Calamba
Cavite - SM Dasmarinas
Marikina - Marikina Concepcion

BDO said unaffected branches in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao are operating on normal banking hours. BDO ATMs and electronic channels are also operational.


In an update issued at 1 p.m., Philippine Bank of Communications (PBCOM)  said all PBCOM branches and other banking offices in Metro Manila and the Southern Tagalog Region will be closed starting 2 p.m. on Monday.

This is in addition to its branches in Lucena and Naga which were closed  on Monday.

 PBCOM also assured its nationwide ATM network and Customer Care Hotline (+632 77-PBCOM / 77-72266 or Domestic Toll Free 1-800-1077-72266) are available.


As of 12 noon, Bank of the Philippine Islands said some branches in Metro Manila were closed at noon, while others closed at 2 p.m.

BPI said branches in Taguig, Angeles City, Cotabato, Naic, Batac (Ilocos Norte), Antipolo, Agoo (La Union), and the province of Batangas are closed due to holiday.


Citibank said its branches in Metro Manila are closed for business today, December 8, in view of the threat of typhoon "Ruby."
"For the safety and comfort of our clients, we strongly advise using for urgent transaction needs. Our 24-hour CitiPhone remains open to take calls at 995.9999. The ATM and payment machines at the branches will continue to be accessible, as well as our ATMs in key locations around Metro Manila," Citibank said.

Security Bank   
Security Bank said all branches in Metro Manila have closed at 12 noon, Monday (December 8), due to "Ruby."

For branches outside Metro Manila, customers are advised to contact their respective branches for banking hours. Customers can call Security Bank's hotline at 88-791-88.


Maybank Philippines said all branches in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, and Legazpi, are open until 2 p.m. Monday.

"The rest of the branches are business as usual and ready to serve the banking public except in those areas that have declared non-working holidays," Maybank said.

Maybank branches are closed in Taguig due to the city's anniversary -- South of Market (SOMA) branch, 32nd Street branch, Global City branch, and McKinley Hill branch. Also closed are Maybank branches in Batangas.
The following Maybank branches  were already closed this morning due to typhoon Ruby:

-Maybank Urdaneta branch
-Maybank Guagua branch
-Maybank Naga branch

Maybank2U, Maybank’s Internet banking platform, and ATMs are online to cater to the banking requirements of its customers.
