MANILA - A technology firm on Tuesday offered a solution for companies to cut power costs by monitoring their consumption better.
Schneider Electric Philippines said its remote-controled "smart panel" can gather and display real time information on connected electrical devices.
"In the end you make the decision how much you can save because the information is already there," said Schneider Electric Philippines sales director Michael Victor Sapitan.
Smart panel users report saving as much as 30 percent, though it will depend on how they use the data it gathers, Sapitan said.
Sapitan however, added that the amount of savings depends on how companies act on the data collected by the smart panel. The technology is the first of its kind in the Philippines.
The smart panel is designed to work with buildings, data centers, industries and infrastructure, but it can also be customized for home use, he said.
