MANILA, Philippines - Cable TV and internet service provider Sky warned of possible service interruptions in areas expected to affected by super typhoon "Ruby".
In an advisory to subscribers, SkyCable said cable TV and broadband service subscribers within "high-alert" level areas may experience possible service interruptions, as "Ruby" makes landfall.
"Subscribers within high-alert level areas might experience an indefinite period of service interruption. As much as we want to provide our subscribers with immediate customer service and technical solutions to quickly restore high-quality cable TV broadcast and broadband services, the severe weather conditions during the super typhoon’s transit over the Philippines will gravely hamper SKY’s ability to immediately respond," the company said.
As of this time, the following are the high-alert level areas based on PAGASA’s current data: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Aklan, Albay, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Bukidnon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Camiguin, Capiz, Catanduanes, Cebu, Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Dinagat Islands, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Iloilo, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Leyte, Marinduque, Masbate, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Northern Samar, Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, Romblon, Samar, Siquijor, Sorsogon, Southern Leyte, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur.
Sky said it will immediately restore any cable TV and broadband services affected by the typhoon once the weather calms, and power is restored in heavily-affceted areas.
